Bradford Family Mediation - Update
2nd November 2015
The Family Mediation Council (FMC) was formed earlier this year to oversee and regulate family mediators in England & Wales.
This new organisation aims to establish standardised training and qualifications for all mediators to provide a consistency in the level of service clients can expect. The Government supports the new body, having provided funding for this purpose. Clients up and down the country should be confident that their mediator will hold the correct qualifications and have the relevant experience to deliver a high quality and professional mediation service
All family mediators who work with legally aided clients and are entitled to sign court forms will now need to be registered with the FMC and should be qualified and accredited to the FMCA (Family Mediation Council accredited) Standard.
Williscroft Mediation mediators are already compliant with the FMCA standard, or are working towards achieving this with the appropriate professional support and guidance required.
If you need a family mediator now you can look online at The Family Mediators Association website, and in due course at the Family Mediation Council website.
